This program is an audio-player, written with the help of the Qt library. The user interface is similar to winamp or xmms. Alternative user interfaces also are available.

AUDio MEasurement System - a multi-platfrom system for audio measurement through sound card in the PC. It contains: generator, oscilloscope, audio spectrum analyzer (FFT) and frequency sweep plot. EasyABC allows the user to create, edit, view, play, convert music written in the ABC music notation language. The program was written in Python 2.7 and WxPython by Nils Liberg and runs on Windows, OSX, and Linux. Nils Liberg is no longer supporting this open source package, however I have volunteered to continue its support and development.

Drumstick is a tool to play music. This is a set of C++ MIDI libraries using Qt5 objects, idioms and style. It contains a C++ wrapper around the ALSA library sequencer interface; ALSA sequencer provides software support for MIDI technology on Linux. A complementary library provides classes for SMF (Standard MIDI files: .MID/.KAR), and Cakewalk (.WRK) file formats processing. A multiplatform realtime MIDI I/O library is also provided.

Advanced GTK+ Sequencer is intended to use for music composition. It features a piano roll, as well a synth, matrix editor, drum machine, soundfont2 player, mixer and an output panel. It's designed to be highly configurable, you may add effects to its effect chain, add or remove audio channels/pads. You may set up a fully functional network of engines, therefore exists a link editor for linking audio lines. In conjunction with ags you need a realtime kernel and alsa support. `ags` uses conditional locks to keep several threads in sync that's why you need at least a preemptible kernel.

ASAP (Another Slight Atari Player) plays and converts 8-bit Atari music (*.sap, *.cmc, *.mpt, *.rmt, *.tmc, ...) on modern computers and mobile devices.

GEM (Graphics Environment for Multimedia) is a library to be used with Miller Puckette's Max-like realtime-computermusic-software "Pure Data" (Pd), which allows to draw and control openGL- and pixel-graphics (like video) in realtime from within Pd.

Unlike conventional audio players, ARITA aims to help music lovers to keep their precious collections well organized and tidy. Therefore it takes a different approach to arranging audio files. They must be emplaced into libraries: 'archives' or 'cuesheets'. Archive - compressionless container like CPIO. Instead of tags for description of tracks, a plain XML/YAML file is placed alongside each archive. Rather than embedding cover art in every track, put a single image next to a library. TIFF supports multipage docs, so scans of covers/discs can be packed together in one file. ARITA will locate and display the said file, allowing you to view all pages. Optional 'signature' files can be created to keep checksums of tracks, so you may ask ARITA to verify them and make sure nothing is damaged due to a sudden failure of HDD/SSD. As for 'cuesheets': tracks are merged into a single continuous audio file and a supplementary text file, which provides information on where tracks start and end.

This is the fast and Free (LGPL license) real time MPEG Audio Layer 1, 2 and 3 decoding library and console player. It uses floating point or integer math, along with several special optimizations (3DNow, SSE, ARM, ...) to make it most efficient.

It also supports playlists like PLS, M3U and cue-sheets. Since Version 2.8 support for OPL2/OPL3 emulation was added to play AdLib ROL-Files, LAA, CMF, DRO and SCI files. To start the player you may just double click the jar or use: java -jar ./javamod.jar or (for just commandline) java -cp ./javamod.jar de.quippy.javamod.main.CommandLine. This player can be run als a console application, with its swing gui. The formal applet support is gone. Applets are not supported in most browsers anymore.
