Animatable
One property, two values, endless possiblities
Animatable is an interactive web gallery that demonstrates which CSS properties can transition between two values. Each tile represents one property and continuously alternates between a defined starting and ending state. Visitors can animate every example at once or trigger individual demonstrations by hovering. Selecting a tile reveals the property name, both values, authorship information, and controls for moving to adjacent examples. Keyboard navigation supports Escape and the arrow keys for faster exploration. The page generates its keyframes dynamically with JavaScript and applies compatibility fixes through StyleFix. It serves as a visual reference and experimental showcase rather than a general-purpose animation library. -

Animated GIF Control
Animated GIF control for Windows
A Windows control that plays GIF animations. It comes with a platform-agnostic GIF file loader. You'll need to embed the GIF as a raw binary then create a temporary stream to package images, the resource compiler isn't up to it. The control uses the timer to update the animation. It's written in pure C, and only exposes three functions. Register at start-up, and create with "GIFAnimation" as the class name using CreateWindow. It should drop in easily to any project. -

Drag and drop an NSObject item into your ViewController, set its class to ANIMATION_CLASS (where ANIMATION_CLASS is the class name of the animation you want to use), and connect the outlet animation in RAMAnimatedTabBarItem to your ANIMATION_CLASS. -

AnimatedCollectionViewLayout
UICollectionViewLayout subclass adding custom transitions/animations
A UICollectionViewLayout subclass that adds custom transitions/animations to the UICollectionView without effecting your existing code. Normally a UICollectionView has no transition effects when you scroll from one item to another. There are lots of ways to write animations for UICollectionView, but using a UICollectionViewLayout subclass is by far the simplest one. And it doesn't break any of your existing code. You can still use your UICollectionView subclass and you don't need to change your UICollectionViewCell. Just plug and enjoy. Most of the built-in animators work best in Paging mode and they have additional parameters that you can tweak for better transitions. You can also write your own animators by implementing the protocol LayoutAttributesAnimator. AnimatedCollectionViewLayout is available under the MIT license. -

Several transitions use Core Image, while others rely on custom geometry and animation controllers. The gallery brings implementations from multiple open-source projects into one interface for direct visual comparison. Building the complete application requires initializing its Git submodules after cloning the repository. It is best suited to developers studying transition techniques or searching for animation patterns to adapt to their own interfaces. -
