An embedded key/value database for Go
Bolt is a pure Go key/value store inspired by Howard Chu's LMDB project. The goal of the project is to provide a simple, fast, and reliable database for projects that don't require a full database server such as Postgres or MySQL. Since Bolt is meant to be used as such a low-level piece of functionality, simplicity is key. The API will be small and only focus on getting values and setting values. That's it. Bolt is stable, the API is fixed, and the file format is fixed. Full unit test coverage and randomized black box testing are used to ensure database consistency and thread safety. Bolt is currently used in high-load production environments serving databases as large as 1TB. Many companies such as Shopify and Heroku use Bolt-backed services every day. Please note that Bolt obtains a file lock on the data file so multiple processes cannot open the same database at the same time. -

CodePush is a cloud service that enables Cordova and React Native developers to deploy mobile app updates directly to their users' devices. FastClick is a simple, easy-to-use library for eliminating the 300ms delay between a physical tap and the firing of a click event on mobile browsers. The aim is to make your application feel less laggy and more responsive while avoiding any interference with your current logic. FastClick is developed by FT Labs, part of the Financial Times. Note: As of late 2015 most mobile browsers - notably Chrome and Safari - no longer have a 300ms touch delay, so fastclick offers no benefit on newer browsers, and risks introducing bugs into your application. Consider carefully whether you really need to use it. The library has been deployed as part of the FT Web App. FastClick doesn't attach any listeners on desktop browsers. -

Have you ever wanted to add a Save as… button to a webapp? Whether you’re making an advanced WebGL-powered CAD webapp and want to save 3D object files or you just want to save plain text files in a simple Markdown text editor, saving files in the browser has always been a tricky business. Usually when you want to save a file generated with JavaScript, you have to send the data to your server and then return the data right back with a Content-disposition: attachment header. This is less than ideal for webapps that need to work offline. The W3C File API includes a FileSaver interface, which makes saving generated data as easy as saveAs(data, filename), though unfortunately it will eventually be removed from the spec. With FileSaver.js, which implements FileSaver in all modern browsers, it’s possible to generate any type of file you want right in the browser, document editors can have an instant save button that doesn’t rely on an online connection. -
