Xj3D is a project of the Web3D Consortium focused on creating a toolkit for VRML97 and X3D content written completely in Java. Xj3D has been produced and is maintained by Web3D Consortium members. Current status: active development with frequent updates. Zdog is a 3D JavaScript engine for <canvas> and SVG. With Zdog, you can design and render simple 3D models on the Web. Zdog is a pseudo-3D engine. Its geometries exist in 3D space, but are rendered as flat shapes. This makes Zdog special. Zdog is small. 2,100 lines of code for the entire library. 28KB minified. Zdog is round. All circular shapes are rendered as proper circles with rounded edges. No polygonal jaggies. Zdog is friendly. Modeling is done with a straight-forward declarative API. Zdog was designed to bring the simplicity of vector illustration into 3D. Drawing circles and squares is easy and fun. Zdog just adds another dimension. It renders all shapes using 2D drawing API in <canvas> or <svg>. Spheres are actually dots. Toruses are actually circles . Capsules are actually thick lines. It’s a simple, but effective trick. The underlying 3D math comes from Rotating 3D Shapes by Peter Collingridge.

Zomebuild is a software application that allows users to create and explore Zometool models in an interactive, virtual 3D environment. You need to save the self-extracting executable file on your PC, then run it to extract the program files. Then you can run the main executable file, Zomebuild.exe. It’s not important where you store the files on your PC as long the directory structure that is unpacked is preserved. A simple C++/GLUT application. It was builded a scene consisting in an island in the middle of the ocean with a lighthouse on it. Day and night effects has been modeled too, together with an animated ocean and a rotating lighthouse lamp.

Maya attacher plugin, creates a locator that sticks to a polygon face. Locator can be moved to any location on the face by using tensions. These can be imagined like rubber strings connecting the locator to the corners of the face. Subdiv iterations can be set, resulting in the locator moving along a catmull clark subdivided representation of the face, without having to subdivide the mesh. Must be used on a triangle or quad mesh face.
