On this day in 1967 the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR) dedicated its new building, the Mesa Laboratory in Boulder, Colorado. NCAR is a US federally funded research and development center that studies meteorology, climate science and atmospheric chemistry among many others. It uses a wide array of tools and technologies for such studies, including research aircraft, specialized instruments and of course, supercomputers.
NCAR’s Mesa Laboratory was designed by renowned architect I.M. Pei, its construction made possible through a $100,000 grant from the Max C. Fleishmann Foundation.
The post is showing that how the research work is important for anything, a building dedicated to the research. Research is the key to invent or create anything new and the research will be the sustainable for the project.
