iperf2

This code is a continuation based from the no longer maintained iperf 2.0.5 code base. Iperf 2.0.5 is still widely deployed and used by many for testing networks and for qualifying networking products. The goals include preserving compatibility and interoperability with iperf 2.0.5 clients or servers, preserving the output for scripts (new enhanced output requires -e), adopt known 2.0.5 bug fixes, maintain an active code base, maintain broad platform support, as well as adding some essential feature enhancements (mostly driven by wi-fi testing needs.) Iperf 2 vs iperf 3 major differences: Iperf 3 is a rewrite which does not support interoperability with iperf 2. The iperf 2 code base supports threaded operation where iperf 3 is single threaded. Iperf 2 supports end/end UDP latency via -e. (The clocks need to be synchronized, e.g. PTP to a GPS disciplined grandmaster.) iperf 3 can be found here: http://software.es.net/iperf/obtaining.html
