Wirelessly output Windows audio to your UPnP/DLNA gear

Stream What You Hear (SWYH) is a Windows utility that lets you play the sound from your PC on networked UPnP/DLNA devices, such as a smart TV or an amplifier/receiver.

How the program captures and forwards audio

The application grabs the audio leaving your computer and relays it to a compatible device on your network. It can capture sound from sources including:

  • Local audio players (MP3 players, desktop media software)
  • Streaming music applications
  • Web browsers

Runs quietly with no setup

SWYH lives in the notification area (system tray) and operates transparently. There’s no complicated configuration required — it’s ready to use once installed.

Alternative option

If you’d like to try a different solution, Airfoil is a commonly recommended alternative and is available as a trial.
