Snappy App for Mac

Overview

SnappyApp is a lightweight, no-cost screenshot utility for macOS that makes it easy to grab portions of your screen and keep those images visible while you work. Captures can be pinned above other windows, kept on top, and left onscreen as needed so you always have them at hand.

How to use

Select an area of the display to capture and SnappyApp will create a floating image that you can position and lock in place. The tool supports persistent previews (always-on-top) so a capture can remain visible while you switch between apps. You can also right‑click a captured image to access sharing options or copy a shortened link for quick distribution.

Sharing and export

• Pinterest and Facebook are currently supported for direct uploads; additional networks are on the roadmap.
• Twitter and Flickr are planned in a future update.
• Use the contextual menu on any snap to forward it via other channels (for example, email), with the web link already shortened for convenience.

Release highlights

• Resolved a bug that could interfere with other applications using the macOS clipboard.
• Fixed an issue in the Print Snap dialog that sometimes resulted in cropped prints.
• Corrected problems related to Facebook sharing and account integration.
• Added a preference to run SnappyApp as a standard macOS application (Dock icon visible and appears in the Command‑Tab app switcher).
• Improved system integration so images can be opened directly with SnappyApp and files can be dragged and dropped onto the app window.
