CC:Online is a free fan-made tool that restores online play for several older Command & Conquer titles that lost their official multiplayer services after the GameSpy shutdown. It recreates the server side so players can again find matches, chat, and play games such as Generals, Zero Hour, Command & Conquer 3, Kane’s Wrath, and Red Alert 3.
Under the Hood
The project builds on the T3A:Online platform to emulate the network services the original games expected. That emulation lets clients connect as if the original servers still existed, giving a near-native multiplayer experience and preserving legacy game functionality for modern systems.
Quick Setup Guide
- Install the CC:Online launcher on the PC where the game is installed.
- Create an account on the Revora community site (required to access lobbies and match lists).
- Ensure you have the original game files installed and allow the launcher through any firewall or antivirus that blocks network traffic.
- Start the launcher, sign in, and browse or host matches to reconnect with friends.
Community and Support
CC:Online is maintained by volunteers and relies on community contributions for upkeep and troubleshooting. If you run into issues, the Revora forums and project pages are good places to find guides, ask for help, and report bugs.
