TruckersMP adds online multiplayer to Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator so you can convoy and interact with other players. The project is created and maintained by the community developers Smoky, Shawnczek, and Mwl4. Note that SCS Software knows about TruckersMP but is not officially involved with its development or distribution. Before installing the mod, make sure your copy of the base game is up to date.

How the two games differ when played online

Although TruckersMP supports both titles, the experience varies between them. In ETS2 you’ll often run a large-scale logistics operation and manage company growth, while in ATS the focus is more on taking individual jobs and earning enough to buy your first truck. The mod adapts to each game’s mechanics so both feel natural in multiplayer.

One of the most frequently reported issues is inconsistent enforcement by server moderators and administrators. Players have encountered sudden or seemingly arbitrary bans, which can be frustrating for regular users. If you plan to use TruckersMP, be aware of this risk and review any community rules and appeal processes the mod team provides.
