Quick, simple desktop sharing and remote assistance
Alpemix lets you view and control another computer’s screen without complicated setup. The application is designed for straightforward connections between distant machines: both sides must run the Alpemix program, and a secure ID/password handshake prevents unauthorized access. It works through NAT and firewalls, so you rarely need to change network settings.
Key capabilities
- Encrypted file transfers between connected machines
- Real-time text chat for instructions and feedback
- Two-way audio so you can talk while guiding someone
- Runs on mobile devices as well as desktops and laptops
- No installation required — launch the executable and connect
Ways to make a connection
- Log in with the remote computer’s user ID and password
- Send a connection invitation from your contact list to request access
- Use a persistent access password when unattended or for frequent access
To start a session on Windows, run Alpemix.exe on both systems you want to link.
Security and technical notes
All communications use strong cryptography (1024-bit RSA and 256-bit AES) to protect sessions and data transfers. The software is built to traverse NAT proxies and firewalls automatically, minimizing the need for network changes.
Practical uses
- Distance learning — teachers can demonstrate material directly on students’ screens
- Showing live product demonstrations from your desktop to clients or prospects
- Supporting distributed teams by sharing screens during remote collaboration
- Helping family members or customers troubleshoot problems without technical hurdles on their side
- Performing routine remote maintenance and system support
These scenarios work well because the person receiving help doesn’t need advanced computer skills — they simply run the program and accept the connection.
