App snapshot
Airdrop for Android Transfer is a wireless file-sharing utility that lets two nearby devices exchange data directly, without cables or internet routing. It handles photos, videos, audio, documents and app installation packages using local connections. The app provides a single workspace for sending and receiving items, shows nearby devices during discovery, and runs transfers entirely inside the app environment.
Connection methods
- Pairing by scanning a QR code that encodes the connection details, allowing a device to join without entering network credentials.
- Creating a local hotspot on one device so another device can connect to it and transfer files over the private link.
Once paired, devices communicate directly and transfers happen straight between them; no intermediary servers are involved.
Supported content types
- Audio files and music tracks.
- Installed application packages (APK files) for sharing apps.
- Compressed archives (ZIP, RAR and similar).
- Still images and photos.
- Video files and movie clips.
The app groups items by type and supports selecting multiple files to queue within a single session.
Transfer behavior and session rules
Transfers are processed in order during the active connection and continue until all queued items are sent or the link is broken. Sessions are temporary and localized: there is no background synchronization, no cloud storage, and no account-based pairing. When a session ends, the app does not retain a persistent memory of participating devices.
Interface, discovery, and limitations
File selection is done through an in-app file browser. Device discovery depends on active wireless signals, so factors such as interference or brief disconnections can affect detection. The user interface includes built-in advertising shown between actions and during navigation. The app does not offer remote sharing tools or history beyond the current transfer process.
