Quick overview
Bluetooth Pair is a free utility that simplifies linking Bluetooth-capable gadgets. It helps your phone, tablet, or computer connect with a wide range of peripherals and can be configured to reconnect automatically to previously paired items. On some devices the app also requires location permission to discover nearby Bluetooth equipment.
Supported peripherals
- Wireless game controllers and similar gaming accessories
- Speakers and audio systems
- In-car chargers and hands-free car kits
- Headsets, earbuds, and other listening devices
- Other Bluetooth-enabled items
How it works
When you open the app it begins scanning for Bluetooth-enabled devices nearby. Ensure your device’s Bluetooth is switched on before launching the scan. Results are displayed on screen; some devices appear with their assigned names while others are listed generically (for example, “device”). The app also keeps a history of previously connected devices so you can reconnect or unpair without going into your system Bluetooth settings.
Useful controls
- Tap the pink power icon in the lower-right corner to toggle Bluetooth on or off
- Use the top-right menu to refresh the list and start a new scan
- One-tap pairing and unpairing for devices shown in the list
- Automatic reconnection can be enabled for previously paired items
Limitations and upgrade option
A significant drawback is the app’s heavy use of advertising, which can interrupt scans and the pairing process. A paid upgrade is available to remove ads and deliver a cleaner, smoother experience.
Bottom line
Despite the intrusive ads, Bluetooth Pair remains a practical alternative to a device’s built-in Bluetooth interface. It offers quick discovery, one-tap connection management, and options to automate reconnections, making it useful for managing multiple Bluetooth peripherals.
