Note that 4.09 includes a new css structure and that upgrading from previous version will require that the browser cache is cleared for the new css to render correctly.
Installation is largely automatic having extracted the archive to a directory under the web-server's root and then browsing to this directory. The installation script will display with guidance on how to proceed.
Detailed installation instructions are in the file doc/INSTALL.txt in the doc directory. If you have trouble installing with the automated script, it is important to read the INSTALL.txt file in its entirety before proceeding manually. A printout is recommended.
The user documentation contains a wealth of information and is installed under the doc/Manual directory in html format. Links to it are available from the application itself.
The primary means of support queries is through the forum at http://www.weberp.org/forum or the user mailing list.
Please join the list at: http://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/web-erp-users
if you have queries. The archives of the mailing lists on sourceforge and the forum installation issues postings contain the most common issues with respect to installation.
Feedback, wants and gripes are encouraged in the interests of improving the applicaton.
CONTRIBUTING TO THE PROJECT
Contributions of code and documententation including HOW-TOs with screen-shots etc are very much appreciated. If your business has done such training materials for your own team this will no doubt be useful to many others and a productive way that you could contribute. Contributions in the form of bug reports or other feedback through the mailing lists above also help the project improve.
Guidelines for contributing code are in the document at http://www.weberp.org/Development.html
Developers interested in contributing should read this document carefully and follow the guidelines therein. Standards and conventions used in the code are rigorously applied in the interests of consistency and readability.
All available translations are now included in the archive downloaded.
Translators should read the document http://www.weberp.org/wiki/HowToTranslate which describes how to translate webERP.
Translations must be installed under the webERP/locale directory and the locale must be available on the web-server.

Note that as well as the name of the project/development community of webERP "weberp.org" is a domain name administered by the project administrator on behalf of the project. Irrespective of misleading comments elsewhere, copyright of all contributed code remains with the developer who contributed it and the "weberp.org" project is the collective name for the webERP development team.
