Texco is an interesting program which converts files in binary format (typically images, sounds, 3d models, etc) to a textual description which is easy for a human to read, or to a computer to parse. Current version, 0.1.3, textualizes correctly MD2 files (that is, Quake 2 models), PCX graphic files, and does some textualizing work with WAV sound files. Also, if installed together with Eric Raymond's SNG, it tries textualizing PNG graphic files. Current version does only work under Linux, but we hope to make the program multiplatform as soon as we can.
