ShellNewHandler is an Open-Source Tool to enable/disable ShellNew entries, aka New File context menu entries from Windows Explorer in Vista and Windows 7. Check or uncheck items to enable a desktop right-click context menu item. No need to install.
- reversed the display state of enabled context menu entries. thanks to ander1122 for suggestion.
- added an Apply button and renamed the Save button to OK.
- changed the tooltips for better readability.
- a click on OK or Apply refreshs the shell immediately.
I wanted to add MS Word back in, on win7 pro 64. This program is a 100 % TOTAL FAILURE.
This is exactly what I wanted. Thank you. This is the best tool for this purpose.
in my Windows Seven 32 bits environment, it works in "disabling" not in "enabling"; by disabling an entry I succeeded in not finding that entry any more in "new" context, while by enabling an entry I liked to have (even doing it repeatedly with "dis.." then "en..") I didn't succeed
Very effective, instant and simple interfase. I didn't have trouble, first day of use, if something goes wrong I will comment again. There is missing, you must know, the feature to add your own access. But you can edit the registry.
great app, works nicely
