• Sphene Community Tools Version 0.5 Released

  SCT (Sphene Community Tools) is a collection of Django applications that are designed to be easily pluggable into any Django project. It currently consists of a Wiki and a Forum application. SCT 0.5 adds comment support for wiki snips and a search engine for the forum based on xapian. In addition this release contains several compatibility fixes for django 1.0.

  - Major Feature Enhancements - General ([Community]) - [Roles|Role Permissions]: - The [Board|forum] makes now heavy use of [Roles] which allows fine grained control on who can view forum categories, post threads or post replies. - [Roles] can either be applied to single users or "role groups" which is nothing else than a group of users. - Tagging: the [Community] application now implements a basic "tagging framework" - the [Wiki] uses it by allowing snips to be tagged as well as the [Blog] application allows it for blog posts. (tagging of [Board|forum] posts is [planned for the next release](http://code.google.com/p/sct-project/issues/detail?id=103) - feedback would be appreciated) - Translations: Most strings in SCT ([Community], [Board] and [Wiki]) are now translated into german, polish and [korean](http://sct.sphene.net/board/thread/955/?page=1). - [Wiki] - Modifications to the title and tags of wiki snips are now recorded and listed in the wiki snip changes. - [Board|Forum] - Forum posts are now counted and displayed in the user information. - The latest 10 forum posts are displayed in the users profile. - [LinkList] and [Blog]: In this release the architecture of the [Board|Forum] was improved to allow easier extensibility - Based on this there are two new applications in SCT: - [LinkList]: Allows users to submit website links and add comments - currently only very basic features - visit "[Who's using SCT](http://sct.sphene.net/board/show/20/)" to see it in action. - [Blog]: Create and tag blog posts and allow visitors to write comments. • Sphene Community Tools Version 0.4 Released

  SCT (Sphene Community Tools) is a collection of Django applications that are designed to be easily pluggable into any Django project. It currently consists of a Wiki and a Forum application. Sphene Community Tools (SCT) 0.4 contains two new applications, new translations (german, polish and korean) and many new features among them are role permissions to allow granular permission settings for the forum, tagging of wiki snips and improved user profiles. The two new applications are the LinkList and Blog which are both based in the forum to demonstrate what can be done by creating customized Category Types.

• Sphene Community Tools Version 0.3 Released

  SCT (Sphene Community Tools) is a collection of Django applications that are designed to be easily pluggable into any Django project. It currently consists of a Wiki and a Board application. This release contains many new user requested features and performance improvements. New features include avatars for user profiles, 'Hot Threads', moving threads between categories and much more.
