The Open Process Handbook Initiative (see <http://ccs.mit.edu/ophi/>http://ccs.mit.edu/ophi/) is happy to announce the availability of the MIT Stand-alone Research Process Handbook on SourceForge. This long standing, Windows based system was collaboratively developed by researchers at the MIT Center for Coordination Science (<http://ccs.mit.edu/ph>http://ccs.mit.edu/ph), and allows for rapid drag and drop construction, editing, and navigation to processes with multiple relationship types. This system also supports the bulk import and export of processes and process collections using the Process Interchange Format (PIF).
This research system and its associated knowledge base about business processes are now being released under the Apache 2.0 open source license as part of the Open Process Handbook Initiative (OPHI).
Together with the recently released Phios Process Repository and the MIT Web-based Research version, there are now three versions of the Process Handbook available through SourceForge.
A key goal of the OPHI community will now be to develop a plan for creating a single integrated Process Handbook system or at least an architecture for exchanging content among different software packages.
Anyone interested in developing or using the software or content for the Process Handbook should join the main OPHI mailing list at <http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/ophi-discuss> http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/ophi-discuss
The Open Process Handbook Initiative (see <http://ccs.mit.edu/ophi/>http://ccs.mit.edu/ophi/) is happy to announce the availability of the MIT Web-based Research Process Handbook on SourceForge. This system, developed by Mark Klein at the MIT Center for Coordination Science (<http://ccs.mit.edu/ph>http://ccs.mit.edu/ph), allows for easy editing and viewing of processes over the web.
This system and its associated knowledge base about business processes are now being released under the Apache 2.0 open source license as part of the Open Process Handbook Initiative (OPHI).
Together with the recently released Phios Process Repository, there are now two versions of the Process Handbook available, and we expect at least one more version of the Process Handbook to be released soon at SourceForge.
The Open Process Handbook Initiative (see http://ccs.mit.edu/ophi/) is happy to announce the availability of the Phios Process Repository on SourceForge. This is a commercial software product, developed by Phios Corporation (http://www.phios.com) based on research done at the MIT Center for Coordination Science (http://ccs.mit.edu/ph). The primary developer is Steven Norris. This software product and its associated knowledge base about business processes are now being released under the Apache 2.0 open source license as part of the Open Process Handbook Initiative (OPHI). Several other versions of the Process Handbook have also been developed at MIT and are expected to be released as open source packages at SourceForge. A key goal of the OPHI community will now be to develop a plan for creating a single integrated Process Handbook system or at least an architecture for exchanging content among different software packages. Anyone interested in developing or using the software or content for the Process Handbook should join the main OPHI mailing list at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/ophi-discuss
