The package is an object oriented abstraction layer between PHP and the Google Maps API. The intention of this package is to eliminate the need to hand code javascript to work with the API. It will have utilities to add custom mapping and icon creations.

Initial File Release
I have released the initial alpha for the maps component. Please feel free to give it a try. At the very least it will allow you to get started deploying google maps under a PHP architecture with little effort. More features will be added as this progresses. Thanks for you help.
