README - distribution files for VMS =================================== The files here provide a version of the OpenVMS mdpp executable that is no longer supported. The VMS executable "mdpp_ia64.exe.gtz" should be decompressed with "gzip" and then "vmstar"; versions are provided here but they are old. Actually, if you really want mdpp on your VMS machine it is overall best to recompile and link it from the sources. The "vms-utils.bck-gz" file contains numerous utilities that will be very helpful for the VMS user. Once again, these are old. The best idea is to look for the latest VMS versions on-line, download them and use those instead. Good luck! -Ross Smith-
