For those who can't compile Katy v0.3.1 for whatever reason, here is a binary tarball that you may be able to use. It was built on a Debian testing/unstable machine using Qt 3.0.5 and KDE 3.0.4. The tarball directory structure is usr/local/bin, usr/local/share and usr/local/lib, so you may need to move some stuff around to the correct locations for your distribution.
Ported to KDE 3.0. Added Windows menu. Fixed File-Open Recent to open the file in a new window Changed minimum view size to 100x100 and save window size on exit. Added Line and Column statusbar indicators. Fixed File->Open to open the file in a new window. Changed File->Open to use standard KDE Open File dialog. Added external change detection.
