  • Facilitate chess960 castling and game save.

Hi.Like the client Would it be possible to implement FischerRandom castling rights so one could click on the pieces instead of having to type the moves in.Additionally it would be nice to be able to save games to file. I find automail a little inconvienient. Thanks.

  • Followup: RE: Ubuntu Karmic (9.10) startup error

Self-reply, maybe it will help someone: After the upgrade, Ubuntu changed the /usr/bin/java symlink to point to the gij java binary (the GNU libgcj implementation). Switching it back to the Sun java version (/usr/lib/jvm/java-6-sun-1.6.0.16/bin/java or similar) should fix the problem.

  • Ubuntu Karmic (9.10) startup error

Hi, Jin is throwing an exception when I attempt to start it, after upgrade to 9.10 (worked great before the upgrade). • Comment: add rematch button

Yes, rematch button would be nice. I use jin often and people complain why I wouldn't do rematches :)

  • Players On line

Would like to know if I could see the list of available members who are on line and to be able to select.

  • Followup: RE: Jin mac version in Snow Leopard / Rosetta

I'm using Jin for a long time too, but since I am with Snow Leopard, the interface is disturbed. When you start a new game, the screen shows the board of the last game and everything is gonna be mixed up. Jin is my favorite chess program, I hope there will be a fix.

  • display captured pieces

It would be helpful if the pieces captured by both players were displayed, for instant assessment of piece advantage. The attached patch adds this functionality.
