But Dynebolic has its pitfalls and as it makes you work as root by default and does not have a real package management for installing additional software it is not a typical inter operable Linux-system. > I don't know how I have to map the instruments and the channels ( it has > just one sound). I usually load several instruments using the part-switcher in Zyns main panel. BTW: avoid the "Beginner"-mode of the interface like the plague! It encumbers the possibilities to control Zyn dramatically. The part-switcher (the box with the number 1 left/middle in the panel) allows to switch between up to 8 parts in Zyn each part can load one separate instrument. The instruments can have their own MIDI-channels thus you can send notes to a percussion-set on channel 1 and other notes (from another track in RG) to a lead-synth on channel 2 etc. > Could you help me? How can I make ZynAddSubfx and Rosegarden get married? In RG you use the Midi-device setup tool to find out what stupid cryptic name Zynadd has been given today (usual "General MIDI device") you can change that name and then map a track with right-click on that tracks head and choosing "new name for zynadd/number of the channel you would like to send notes to". the marriage between RG and Zyn is quite harmonic in my sessions ;-) good luck HZN > Stefano > > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------- > This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge > Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes > Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world > http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ > > > ------------------------------------------------------------------------ > > _______________________________________________ > Zynaddsubfx-user mailing list > Zyn...@li... > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/zynaddsubfx-user -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFIfdSc1Aecwva1SWMRArS+AJsGqVpxys/tz3TmBYzzrJcvja9G8QCcDACb 4/F6Wax4YP+SDgNcbH62G8I= =O2x0 -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- |
