Port 5900 is default VNC, ie you need the vnc client to connect Port 5800 is the Java Web based log in, no client needed Port 5500 is incoming VNC, primarily useful for having someone connect to you when they dont know their firewall settings for remote troubleshooting. (My guess is fairly rarely used) If your router lets you specify TCP or UDP, all the ports are TCP. My home PC is behind a netgear router. I can connect remotely to Netgear router and I have port forwarding enabled for Tight VNC for ports 5900 to 5909. Can anyone help me trouble shoot this? What Tight VNC server configurations should I pay attention to? Are those the correct ports? Why not port 5800? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ ___________________________________________________________ TightVNC mailing list, VNC...@li...
