A bit unsure of the Host Name (IP) to use: Following is the configuration I'm using: A traveling PC running Win98, VNC Viewer, & Putty v53b A firewalled PC running Win98, VNC Server (port 5901) (DSL IP: 216.176.99.999, Internal IP of 10.1.1.222) Win98 ->Putty>------------------------->||->------> Win98 VNC Viewer Firewall VNC Server on server Client on LAN 216.176.99.999 10.1.1.222 (The illustration above probably won't come accross right ... but I tried) I don't understand how to tell Putty to attach to the VNC Server port 5901 on the Client. The information I have says to use the "Host Name (or IP Address)". Host Name (or IP Addr) of what? The Firewall server or the client on the LAN? I don't see how Putty could recognize the internal Host or IP of the client. --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? New and Improved Yahoo! Mail - 100MB free storage! |
