The short answer is, no.

I found it interesting that nobody asked for this before.
When I first jumped in at viking, one of my (few) main goals was to make it work
with my scanned maps. It was because there was no good free maps for Australia
(25K maps, prints or scans, are expensive here). But then google improved their
maps for Australia and I found it was good enough for most of my usages.
But nothing is as good as 25K topo maps. Perhaps I should put it back to my
TODO list.
