Hey, The lobby server is mostly done, thanks to Harry M for doing the initial draft. If you get the latest code from cvs, add lib/derby.jar to your path, and run games.strategy.engine.lobby.server.LobbyServer a server will start. The server has an admin console, with some basic stats, a display of the hosted games and the chat, and a sql window (you need to move the dividers before you see the sql window, then highlight the sql and press execute). When you run GameRunner, there is a new button thay says "connect to lobby server". Press that, and the game looks up the location of the lobby server by reading, http://triplea.sourceforge.net/lobby/server.properties The url can be changed by setting the system property, triplea.lobby.serverURL The lobby server lets you chat, host games and join games in progress. When you host/join a game a new TripleA instance is spawned. I think the server is mostly done, but I need to test it, polish some things, and figure out the best way of hosting it. Initially I will host it at home until the bugs are worked out, but eventually a more reliable location would be needed. It will probably be fall before a new unstable version is up and a test server is deployed, but people can get the latest cvs and play with it.
