All of the non ui code and the non aa logic are reusable for other games. If you look at the packaging structure, everything under games.strategy.engine is the "Turn Based Strategy Game Engine" part. Everything under games.strategy.triplea is the aa clone. The engine handles all the networking, reading to/from xml files, game startup and initialization, game data structures (maps, units, resources, game history, players, alliances), reading and writing saved games, secure sharing of random numbers, using a dice server to roll for pbem games, secure dice for multiplayer games, exporting game stats, and some code for playing sounds (though this needs some work). Setting up a triplea clone with a different move/combat system wouldnt be too hard. You could write new delegates to handle the new Move and Combat phases, and modify the ui as needed to handle them.
