MS Win XP support a single user RDP client in 16 bit. > Surely this means the server can support greater than 8 bit?? Hmmm - depends on the server: NT4TSE: 8 bit Win2k: 8 bit Win XP: 16 bit (single user only - VNC like) Win 2k3: 24 bit Apparently there exists a "XP server" not made directly by MS. I know little about this one. > Does the linux Rdesktop client which is included in thinstation beta5 > supports greater than 8 bit color? Yes - with the "-a" option. It is a plain rdesktop 1.3.x. > I have used the -a option and this has not worked. You need to let the server accept the client to set the color depth.
