Mike, Normally with the command "/bin/poweroff", when the ACPI is on in the BIOS the system shutdown and power off, when it is off the system only shutdown (no ?) but for Andreas nothing append, for me the job do not run. Andrea check the crontab and try to execute manually "/bin/poweroff" to see if it work, and to do a power off like Mike say set APCI on in the BIOS. Best regards.
