Unfortunately, in my setups the openSUSE (dual AMD 64 4600MHz with 2GB RAM & nvidia 7600GT) performs only marginally better than the via (533Mhz with 512Mb RAM & trident video with shared memory), which I would put down to the grunt of the boxes (I would actually expect much better performance from my openSUSE box, but.....). > > Could you have a look at it, please? TSoM vs local) - drivers (I know you have been using the SIS & also tried the ATI) - SESSION parameters for your rdesktop session - is session in a window or fullscreen - do you run under icewm/blackbox or without a window manager (ie. directly from startup or from replimenu) Some things to check: - bios settings for onboard cards are sometimes set too low - check - try -a 15 instead of -a 16 (some drivers seem to have an issue with -a 16) - look a little harder into the /var/log/Xorg.0.log to see if there was anything that threw an error indicating that something wasn't loaded that should have been (it is a very verbose log file though) That will do for a start.
