I don't know the limitation of attaching files to the list are, so I won't send the kernel zip or supplementary files with this message. I will send it separately just to you. I just tarred up the kernel directory (for both 2.1.1 and 2.1.3 since I think there were some structure changes in 2.1.3 and I haven't verified 2.1.3 on any wireless clients yet. You will also need to add some lines to your build.conf file. module ds # Has to be added after pcmcia/cardbus bridges - this is for any pcmcia I think module ath_pci module ath_hal module wlan_ccmp module wlan_tkip # Haven't figured out how/when to use the following, but they are available #module wlan_xauth #module wlan_acl #module wlan_wep module aes module md5 don't forget package wireless I believe all of these should already be in the kernel zip I will send separately. The included (in separate zip) wpa_supplicant.conf file should work as is (though I don't remember - it was a test trial from way back). The PSK (password) and ssid are in the file. You can regenerate a new one with the wpa_passphrase (wpa_passphrase <ssid> <passphrase>) binary that you are supposed to put in the packages/pcmcia/bin folder (I never got to putting them in their own packaging - this is a start). After you generate that info you can remove the #psk="passphrase" line from your config file. The included patch file was created on 2.1.1, but should work fine with 2.1.3. It needs to be applied to the network script in packages/base/etc/init.d/ I would like to make it a conditional check if the adapter exists, but I haven't taken the time to figure out how to do that. Anyway, I hope this works. I would have tried to really package this up if the stock kernel already had the required included encryption support. Let me know how it goes. ----- Original Message ----- *From:* "Fokkelman, Jan" <jfokkelman@BGN.nl> *To:* "TechFan" <lis...@ou...> *CC:* "Thinstation General" <thi...@li...> *Sent:* Monday, January 30, 2006 6:13:22 PM *Subject:* [Thinstation-general] ndiswrapper > Hi, > I'd be most grateful!
