Thanks. I will probably copy the icons over manually. . .for my home remote workstation. . .the others here won't be using it (currently using replimenu). I read about that utility and wondered if you were running it. Is there a way to make it configurable from the conf files. . .I need it to be off only for our notebooks. . .since having numlock on activates the numpad overlay and keeps the letters like jkl, etc from working when they are typing their password at the first screen. I will edit that file for now. I think yenta_socket is one of the most common, but it looks from the build.conf that there are several others that are comparible. All 3 of the models I have tested on have yenta. The critical thing is that ds has to be loaded after those types of modules. I added it into the config and using 2.1rc2 right now. I started having some rdesktop_cvs sound issues after I got it working. . .but I am suspecting it is from either mplayer, firefox, links, blackbox since I added those to the mix recently. Thanks for the hint about where to look for that numlock command. I will attempt to continue to find a way to map the right-alt now. . . :-) Miles Roper wrote: >rdesktop_cvs issue, is really part of the package, when the maintainer tars >it up the extra icons should be included, and be created under the icons >folder when it decompresses > >as for pcmcia, I'll correct that next release, is the yenta_socket module >needed for all pcmcia cards, or just yours? > >there is actually a program which sets the numlock state to on, is called >setnumlock, is executed when the package starts. edit the >packages/base/etc/thinstation.packages script and take it out, however X by >default always turns numlock off when it starts (at least it did in 4.3, not >sure about xorg), that's why I included that program, most people want it on > >-----Original Message----- >From: TechFan [mailto:lis...@ou...] >Sent: Saturday, 29 January 2005 10:59 p.m. >To: Miles Roper >Cc: Thinstation General >Subject: Re: Thinstation 2.1rc2 > >Hey Miles, > >PCMCIA still isn't loading right in rc2.
