No

RFC 6129 (http://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc6129), which establishes the application/tei+xml media type, has this rather egregious error in its first paragraph:

" This document defines the 'application/tei+xml' media type for markup
languages defined in accordance with the Text Encoding and
Interchange guidelines."

Should be "Text Encoding Initiative". I'm assigning this to Laurent, since he's one of the original authors.

Once the RFC is fixed, the new section 23.1 of P5, inserted as part of http://purl.org/tei/fr/3565152 , should be revised to give the date of the new version of the RFC and the new correct acronym.

@Kevin: Yes. When this particular ticket is done, and the first draft below is integrated into the Guidelines, I'll close this ticket, but the other ticket will ensure we update when appropriate.

Last comment was a bit braindead. I meant: when this ticket is complete (meaning the RFC is updated), the section inserted as part of http://purl.org/tei/fr/3565152 will be updated, as Kevin says. http://purl.org/tei/fr/3565152 will be closed when its job is done, so this ticket should stay open to ensure that happens.

Just a ping to mention that I am back from holidays and have contacted Sigfrid Lundberg to handle this with IETF.

    Inserting a comment from Sigfrid:

You can NEVER revise an RFC. We can file new. Which will get a new number.

Suppose that we could start an errata, list though. One question, though: Has that acronym changed since we wrote the document? If that's the case I don't think we can file an erratum either.

    Sigge
