Hi all I've gotten staden built for ubuntu (with some major changes to the build process) and expect to put it up on launchpad for revue soon. However, I cannot actually tell (from the directory structure generated by 'make distunix') where things should go, or how to run all the programs staden comes with. The directory structure built is not "the debian way"(tm), but I believe that ubuntu users will live with it if they want to use staden (for now, anyway) :-). I just need to know how staden finds out what directory this structure lives in on the destination machine. For example, do I copy the generated directory to /usr/local/share/staden, and if I do, how do the staden programs know where it is (is there a file in /etc that they check, or an environment variable?) Kind regards Lee ps. The changes that I made to the original toplevel makefile is attached FYI.
