Hey all, The more teams release their source code, the better. If champions do it, they deserve a lot of respect, but in the end it is a team's own decision, and there could be several reasons not to release your code, e.g. an institution's intellectual property rules, or unpublished work contained in the code. To complement Klaus' email, there already is a list at [1] of libraries and full agent source code releases. You can also expect a new release of libbats after cleanup. Cheers, Sander [1] http://simspark.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/Agents#SimSpark_.26_RoboCup_3D_Libraries On Thu, Aug 25, 2011 at 5:55 AM, Klaus Dorer <kla...@hs...>wrote: > Hello Duan, > > already some teams have released their source code in previous years, many > from 2D simulation and some from 3D. > What I think is missing is a central place with the links to the releases. > I guess the simulation league wiki is a place where this could be collected. > If you send me (or Sanem) the links to your releases, we can add them into > the wiki. > > Also I am glad to let you know that we (magmaOffenburg) plan to release our > source code again (hopefully in September after cleanup). > Though our team is not a top team (yet :-) ), I dare to say that our source > code is quite well designed and extendable. > It features > - layered architecture, so you can decide to build your code on any layer > we provide (communication, protocol, model, behavior, decision making) > - component based architecture, so you can replace any of the components > with yours > - clear separation of nao specific and robot model unspecific code > especially behaviors and beliefs > - quite robust (written in Java).
