Hello all, as a team leader of a 3D simulation team I collected a couple of non- strategic short term features we wished to have during development and running games: Referee: The referee should have the possibility to - drop the ball at any place (as drop ball, free kick left or right) as is possible in 2D. It is useful, for example, in situations were both teams are unable to get the ball back into field. - drop a player anywhere on the filed. This is useful, for example, for goalies that violate the 10s laying around rule, at least as long as this is not automated. Offline Learning: One of the main advantages of simulation league is to be able to have lengthy learning runs without hardware damage. For this we wished to have a training mode of the server in which we could: - beam to any position (no limitations to be inside the field, or own half) - beam the ball to any position on the field - have no time or playmode limitations (like half time, before kickoff) so that kicking is possible - get absolute (and ordinary) information of positions (I think I remember that this is somehow possible already and it is just not yet documented) - run the server at maximum speed by waiting for the single (or all) agent's command and then proceed with the next simulation cycle without any sleep times. I remember that some teams managed to speed up a little, but I think with a single player it should be possible to speed up the learning by factors. This is the most desirable one of all of these. In order not just to spread wishes but to contribute to the improvement of the server I can offer to document any of these features in the user manual if you send me appropriate information.
