Hi David, if the field already contains a char you can't append another one because of the length of 1. I tried out SQL Server, SQuirreL 2.0 rc1 running on Suse Linux and JDK 1.5 except from the limitation mentioned above I could not find any problem. I can delete the character and I can change it.
