STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
Draw a rectangle shape on a PDF page.
Drag the shape continuously across page boundary.

RESULTS:
A trace of shape will stay on several page

EXPECTED RESULTS:
Annotation is on new page with no traces of it on other pages

    Strange, I cannot see this. And we actively redraw the area where they were.

    Try dragging off the edge of the page and hold it for a while while it scrolls by really fast. Eventually you will see partial traces of the shape left on pages, and the only way to refresh is to resize Skim app window

      As I said, I cannot see it. But this is almost certain another aspect of the very bad redrawing in PDFKit on 10.9. I really don't see how we can ever fix that, Apple really must fix this.

    Adobe reader doesn't even allow simultaneous scrolling and dragging annotations across page boundary.

    Apple's Preview works, but then again Apple holds all the secrets

    Christian, thanks for giving this a look, hopefully you'll see this happen.
    I even see this in all the apps that are using Skim's code
