Presentation transitions aren't working for me on Mavericks. I see that others have had problem with zooming. Could this be a related problem?
If I don't select "Distinct page transitions", transitions (e.g., slide, fade, etc.) will do nothing. If I do (and, say, leave them all the same) I sometimes get a flicker of a transition or of a brief zoom into a part of a page, but nothing that resembles the chosen (or any other) transition.
To reproduce:
1.) View->Presentation Options
2.) Choose, e.g., "Fade". Don't select "Distinct page transitions"
3.) View->Presentation
(space/cursor advance just flicks from page to page, no transitions
or
2.) Choose, e.g., "Fade". Select "Distinct page transitions"
3.) View->Presentation
(something happens upon advancing, sometimes, but not a transition)
Skim version: 1.4.8 (82) (I've also tried 1.4.4 and 1.4.7 -- same problem)
Mac OS version: 10.9.2
It is impossible that choosing separate transitions makes any difference, because it is a difference without distinction: it does exactly the same thing in both cases (it;s just about the choice which transitions are done, not how they are done).
Probably Apple has just made it impossible to animate the transitions. So probably this is just the death of the feature. (Blame Apple.)
