Hi Folks, I can't seem to establish the telnet session. The laptop running Centos 6.4 has the usb cable connected to a Digi Edgeport /2i RS-422/485 USB Converter. The telnet error message is "Port already in use by another process". However from what I can tell the port ser2net is listening on (30006)is not being used by anything else. I tried many other ports with no luck. Below are the steps I took so far. Any ideas? [cmstest@cmscore-ivv-test ~]$ cat /etc/redhat-release CentOS release 6.4 (Final) [cmstest@cmscore-ivv-test ~]$ netstat -aln | grep :30006 [cmstest@cmscore-ivv-test ~]$ dmesg | grep tty console [tty0] enabled serial8250: ttyS0 at I/O 0x3f8 (irq = 4) is a 16550A 00:09: ttyS0 at I/O 0x3f8 (irq = 4) is a 16550A usb 2-2: Edgeport TI 2 port adapter converter now attached to ttyUSB0 usb 2-2: Edgeport TI 2 port adapter converter now attached to ttyUSB1 [cmstest@cmscore-ivv-test ~]$ ser2net -C 30006:telnet:600:/dev/ttyUSB0:9600,8DATABITS,NONE,1STOPBIT [cmstest@cmscore-ivv-test ~]$ netstat -aln | grep :30006 tcp 0 0 0.0.0.0:30006 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN [cmstest@cmscore-ivv-test ~]$ ifconfig eth0 | grep "inet addr" inet addr:10.0.217.12 Bcast:10.0.217.255 Mask:255.255.255.0 [cmstest@cmscore-ivv-test ~]$ telnet 10.0.217.12 30006 Trying 10.0.217.12...
