Hi Mads, I've had good luck using tcp for this. Take a look at: sdcc/device/examples/mcs51/simple2/hi.c At the start of the program are some comments on how to try s51 with serial routed to telnet. If you use telnet, you may want to turn off line mode, so that the chars echo before eol. As an alternative to telnet, I've made a program which you can try. Its called "ttty" and can talk serial/tcp/udp. Its at: http://www.turbobit.com/software/ Karl.
