Hello, 2.3.0 still produces very ineffective code for the following: bit1 = (bit2 | ~bit3) & bit4 & bit5; or for something like this. It's very important for me to have the mentioned above style of coding (without rewriting it with `if', `else', etc), `cause it is simulation of so called "language of relay logic", used for PLC programming. The end user of this project would be an engineer, but not a programmer, for whom i should prepare a kernel, a library and a free tool for writing applications (i'm still thinking about SDCC as the latter and hope that in 2.3.1 or 3.x - that, i beleive, will come soon - bit manipulation will be handled in optimized way).
