Hello List, thank you for your recent replies, but, you already guess: failed again. This is the summary of what I have done. The line numbers guide you through the attached text file. Step one: prerequisites (line 42) - gcc - gputils here "make" brings up first warnings, suspicious because there are so many of them. Step two: building sdcc from source code - building (line 386) here "make" brings up more warnings and as a surprise to me, I see a couple of shell script lines displayed rather than executed - testing (line 506) Test compliation including standard libraries fails first but I could fix it PIC specific test fails, because I cannot get the libraries done - Attempt to build the libraries according to www.warpedlogic.co.uk/node/8 (line 623) failed I really hope that someone will identify the problem and will point me to it.
