What we're talking about above should work for almost anything. The gnome stuff will be problematic because Gnome applets also attempt to start the gnome panel if it doesn't already exist - yeech. Another issue I want to think about is small applets such as the gabber indicator. I'd like to grid those up 2x2 where a normal single applet would sit, but I haven't figured out an ok way to do it. |
