DocBook XML is similar to HTML, except that the tags are related to technical documentation ( <guimenuitem>, <chapter>, <keycap> ) rather than presentation ( <b>, <font>, <span> ). The idea is that the DocBook gets converted to HTML with some kind of tool, such as xsltproc. Eventually, this can be done in the browser, but most browsers don't support it yet. > And once the utilities are installed and configured, compilation of the > Rox documentation should compile out of the box, shouldn't it? Note that when compiling the docs, nsgmls is only used to check that the document is valid. If you remove 'Manual.valid' from the targets then it will still build OK. To those editing Manual.xml, you can probably manage with one or the other (either nsgmls to check that the document is valid, without actually being able to see it as HTML, or xsltproc to see it without checking that it is valid). I can probably fix up any remaining problems when you submit it to me... -- Thomas Leonard http://rox.sourceforge.net ta...@ec... ta...@us... |
