Passing the coordinates is a problem. I would have to do some form of "collision detection". That should be the filer's job. If I have to do this myself, the only way is to parse the config file. Then when I'm at it I can just as well commit the desired changes to the pinboard directly. So that's not very helpfull. And it can't be done with bash. I don't want Python involvement in the boot stage, so I would have to write a little utility in C. For my purposes I need full control over the pinboard. Should I go forward and write such a utility or can I expect the necessary additions to the filer anytime soon? I don't want to spend time with redundant efforts. |
