Hello, I have a directory full of subdirs that are named in the format YYYYMMDD* (for example, "20031120-cat-photos", "20031121-snowstorm", etc). They are named that way because that keeps them in chronological order. However, if I use xes for the DD portion of the date, then that folder gets sorted to the very top of the list, before the 2002 and 2001 dirs: 200311xx-cat-photos 20010305-something-else 20020925-another-dir 20031101-it-should-be-here-ish The ls command doesn't sort that way; it sorts per-character (logically), so 200311xx will go with the rest of the 200311* dirs. Is there a way to make Filer sort this correctly? Thanks, Anthony http://nodivisions.com/ |
