Good Morning, I am curently trying to compile Qucs 0.0.5 on my powerbook running mac os X. I am using the free qt implementation : QT for Mac 3.3.4 And the installer (configure script) fails to find the dependencies (see file included) I wonder if anyone has ever try it before (and succed) Have a nice day Pierre-Alexandre Girard |

Hello, for implementing a "user defined model" it would be very useful to use Verilog-A as a description language. Otherwise it will be very difficult to implement all models in C++, esp. the user of qucs who are not familiar with C++. For my opinion Verlog-A is very simple and straight forward. Maybe you will find futher infomation at: http://www.v-ms.com/v2000.html (GNU Verilog-A) or at google They have done already a lot of work. By the way the meaning of my asking was this one : assuming that we are working on s-parameter simulation. I'am suggesting to create a "format" describing variables that you can pass to a subroutine of your own and this subroutine (it can be mathlab, c, fortran,...) returns the Y-parameters (or S or Z,...) By the way I have look at the code of qucs and I would like to know where you describe the s-parameters blocs so that I could create snp objects with n > 6 (actually I am thinking of creating an object with a parameter : n). Last question, what do you think about creating variables (thru a equation sheet for example) the idea will be to be able to tune the values of elements easily. Have a nice day. I would like to use qucs in order to describe Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) filters, the idea is to describe the acoustic elements as a 4 port element, two ports are dedicated to input/output electrical connections and the two last one describes the acoustic waves (in an electrical formalism). After doing that, I would like to connect thoses boxes together and to and EM simulation (wich can have more than 30 ports). The admitance of the "4 ports acoustic boxes" are computed in a fortran routine for the moment.
