In BuildTris in gl_mesh.c there's a +0.5 added to texture coords from the .mdl; it's been there since the quake source release. If I remove the 0.5's the results look almost idential to winquake.
Preach raised some objections here: http://celephais.net/board/view_thread.php?id=3&start=10915
so perhaps changing this isn't the best idea.
